When Saints Reach Their Breaking Point
David is struggling. The questions that David is asking can be viewed as someone questioning God. His encounter is an illustration of what we all encounter in life. Faith is not the denial of reality. If you have a bill due, reality you have a bill. If you are sick in your body, you are sick in your body. Faith is a reminder of someone greater than what you are encountering. In every circumstance we encounter is almost a point where we are facing desperation.
Psalm 13 is your road map when you reach a point of no return. Faith is not the absence of tribulation. There aresome’ss you will go through so your children will not have to go through. The church needs the testimony of those who did not keep themselves, so the younger generation can understand that it is not fun having a child at an early age.
David describes the enemy and spiritual opposition. What you are going to do is more than your safety. Sometimes God doesn't do something because He needs to develop your character. God is not threatened by your questions. He encourages us to cast our care upon Him, because He cares for you. God wants to move on your behalf. Your thoughts may change, your heart may change, your circumstances may change, but the heart of God will not change.
