The War of Two Clocks

May 17, 2026    Bishop Keith A. Kershaw

Can you hear the sound of the clock? Not all clocks have sounds. The clock you cannot hear measures moments, not minutes. It is regulated only by the will of God, which is kairos. The will of God is so powerful that kairos will bend chronos to fulfill it. Chronos asked nothing of it; it will continue to move on. Kairos is different from chronos. When you're dealing with chronos, when you miss the moment, you miss the moment.

The God we serve is the God of chronos and kairos. His eyes behold every place. The good and the evil. Everything you went through was a moment to get you to a moment. Most things die not because of disbelief, but because they were on the wrong clock.

In this scripture, Mordecai spoke about the decree that was set against the Jews. Harman was confident that he was going to destroy the Jews. There are enemies out there who have set decrees against you. The enemy is investing in your downfall, but God has another decree. There is a higher kingdom than your enemy. No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper.

In the scripture, Esther was focused on the chronos clock. She said that it had been a month since she had seen the king. She was trapped in a chronos moment. When you have been blessed, there is a temptation to honor the time given to you. Esther became cautious with her current position. You cannot stay cautious when it comes to kairos. Kairos means that the door is not likely to stay open for long. Mordecai gave Esther a warning. Don’t you think that because of where you are,e you are exempt from trials and tribulations?

Heaven is asking us today the same question that was asked of Esther. Do you know the kairos moment that you are in right now? Everything that you encountered, God is getting you ready for a kairos moment.
