In today's sermon, Bishop Keith A. Kershaw spoke on
1 Samuel 28 1-25 The Flesh in Full Display
Two kings are on display. The accepted king, David, and the rejected king, Saul. King Saul was the people’s choice and David was after God’s own heart. When David did wrong he did not dwell in the wrong. King David was always seeking a way to get to God’s heart.
Saul is a man of the flesh. Saul attempted to wake up a dead man so he could appease his flesh. This man walked in open rebellion against God.
Saul had 15 years to get back to God. Saul failed when he did not kill what God told him to kill. You have t to get rid of what God told you to kill. The flesh must be crucified daily. Saul thought he could rule as king of the flesh. There is no middle room for Jesus in your life.
