Undeniable Truth
The Specialist
We live in a specialized world. Physicians used to do everything; now we go to neurologists, cardiologists, urologists — specialists with authority in one area. They don’t apologize for what they don’t know.
The blind man in John 9 was a specialist too. His specialty: what he knew Jesus did for him.
The Danger of Lost Knowledge
• Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
• Saints don’t fall because of what they know about God — they fall because they let go of what they knew.
• The enemy wants you focused on what you don’t know, so you lose focus on what you do know. The Courtroom Drama (John 9)
Everyone claimed to know something, but was afraid to say it. One man said: “There are some things I don’t know, but one thing I do know — I was blind, now I see.”
• Their theology said blindness = sin. When we don’t know the “why,” we invent theories.
• God wasn’t focused on the “why.” The “why” belongs to God. The “what” belongs to us.
• Jesus made mud with spit, told the man to wash at the pool. He obeyed before he understood. That’s faith.
Instead of revival, the miracle started a trial.
The Charge
Don’t let what you don’t know shape what you do know.
John 9:39 — Jesus came so those who don’t see might see, and those who think they see might be made blind.
Hold on to what you know about God. Hold on to sanctified power.
