The Devine Purpose and Power of Unity

Psalm 133:1-3

Bishop Keith A. Kershaw

There are things that we do because we are gifted to do. The Bible is a book of relationship. The relationship is not only just between God, but we have with one another. We are all here in the earthly realm with a purpose in our lives. God deems that we should be holy as God is holy.

When your child does not reflect your image, you question if they are your child. As Christians, we should reflect the image of Christ. No man or no woman should define your worth. When they define your worth, they define your limitations. The church is a community of believers.

We remember the things we should forget and forget the things we should remember. Since we see the signs of the time, we should find ourselves more in church instead of less in church. Saul was always the people's choice and David was after God’s own heart.

God does not have an only child. You are not an only child. You are part of the community. The word of God says, how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity. We are dwelling together as a family. That is why we gather around together with family members. Family members should dwell together. Technology has caused us not to dwell together in social communication.

Most people in the church do not realize that we are family. We are not independent but interdependent. We are living in a time where there is less interaction with people. You can always tell where the clicks are by following who they go out and eat. We have to be a place of full acceptance.
