Genesis Church of God in Christ

Its In His Hands

Jan 18, 2026    Bishop Keith A. Kershaw

This is the year where we must take off the limitations of God. Getting ready get us from the promise to the provision. In the experience of God, there comes a time when we need to rest at the feet of Jesus. The first thing we need to do is trust God at the beginning of the moment. Too many of us focus so much on the past that we treat it as our present. Our best days are before us. Despite the moral failure of our leaders, the glory of God has not departed from us. Our experiences cannot be limited to those who come to our house. We must take advantage of every avenue to bring the word to the people. The word of God says (Psalm 107:20 ),” He sent out His word, and He healed them”. Our expansion in ministry must be global. This is the year that we as a church must take risks. We must grow because all living things must grow.

The greatest is to praise God when you don’t have it. I am going to thank God because He is good for it. How is it that one can be content when things are not going their way? They can do it because they know it is in God’s hands. I need a word that will sustain me.

You cannot let anybody touch you because they leave an imprint on you. I Corinthians 7 speaks that it is not good for a man to touch a woman. If you get the wrong in print, they think it is normal to be mistreated. The institution of God was always about family. It is not the will of God that you are milking the cow, but you are not purchasing the cow. We must get our priorities straight.

The saints are becoming addicted to experiences without having a relationship with God. We are like an addict waiting to get a fix. These are desolate places. We have to get back to the right sound. It is the kind of sound that, when you hear it, you have to get up. We've got to get ready.
